The General

client: City & Country

Sector: Residential

The General Bristol when complete will be home to a collection of 205 one to four newly refurbished apartments and houses, including a converted chapel, unique octagonal tower and reinstatement of roofscapes and terraces.

This represents a major refurbishment project of a Grade 11 listed building for main contractor City & Country.

This multi award-winning project represents the most challenging of refurbishments taking a building quite literally from a state of disrepair to a range of high-end apartments, ranging from 400k to £2-million pounds.

The building is over 100-years old and has survived the infamous Bristol bombings and stood empty for more than 20-years.

A project like this really challenges our experienced site team, with new obstacles to deal with every day.

Every new phase is finished to the highest standard, resulting in our teams ‘finishing masterclass’ in the most challenging conditions with vaulted ceilings, irregular surfaces and feature walls, all delivered to City & Country’s high standards.

To date all 3-phases have totalled in us handing over 100 luxury apartments and 2-award winning Michelin Star restaurants.
