Showcasing our expertise
Marina Gardens is a £25million pound retirement housing development in the regenerated harbour area of Portishead, just outside of Bristol.
The project, for long-term client Midas Construction comprises of 127 one and two bedroom flats in 6 separate blocks with internal courtyard, cafe, gym and spa-complex.
For this project we specified products from three different manufacturers to help us deliver the highest level of passive fire protection services including Wall Penetration Sealing, Acoustic Sealing, Cavity Fire Barrier and Insulation;
Rockwool High Expansion Mastic was used in conjunction with Lubrizol CPVC sprinkler pipes. This mastic product is versatile and is ideal for protecting both combustible and non-combustible pipes. We also utilised Rockwool Fire Barrier curtains in the kitchen areas.
Firetherm products were utilised across the broader fire stopping work including most of the service penetrations.
Envirograf Intumescent Mastic was used to seal the Envirograf duct sleeves specified by the Mechanical & Electrical contractor for use across all of the plastic duct vents.
The success of this project is typically measured by the close collaboration we build with our client, the Mechanical& Electrical contractor and product manufacturers to obtain the latest engineering judgment to help us overcome the most complex of challenges.
